Stages of mitosis

Mitosis is a continuous process, but biologists divide it into four stages so that it is easier to describe. Each stage is recognised by what the chromosomes are doing.

During anaphase, the sister chromatids separate at the centromere and are pulled to opposite poles of the cell by the spindle fibres.

Because each pole receives an identical set of chromosomes, the two daughter cells formed at the end of telophase are genetically identical to the parent cell.

Think of anaphase as the moment the copies split up. Each chromosome made an identical twin. Now the spindle fibres pull the twins apart, one to each end.

Introducing Saabi Squad
one sealed test,
everyone sits it at once

A Squad test is a practice paper you and your friends sit at the same moment, wherever each of you is. Saabi writes the questions and seals them, so nobody sees a single one until the clock starts. When time’s up, everyone’s scores appear side by side.A practice paper you and your friends sit at the same moment, wherever you are. Nobody sees a question until the clock starts. Acceptance

An offer must be communicated before it can be accepted. Silence cannot amount to acceptance., as the court held in Felthouse v Bindley. Where post is the expected mode, acceptance is complete once the letter is posted.
